Three process areas, one accountable partner. Every job is reviewed against your drawings before we quote: scope, tolerances, materials, and documentation are confirmed in writing, never assumed.

01 / Process

Precision Machining

Milled and turned components, made to print.

Kestrel machines prismatic and rotational components to customer drawings, using CNC milling and CNC turning with the drilling, tapping, reaming, boring, and thread work that print requirements call for. Work is quoted part by part: we review geometry, tolerances, material, and finish requirements before we commit to a price or a date.

We do not publish a generic tolerance claim. Achievable tolerances depend on geometry, material, and quantity, and are confirmed against your drawing during quotation. If a feature is at the edge of what a process can hold economically, we say so in the quote, with an alternative where one exists.

02 / Process

Sheet Metal Fabrication

Cut, formed, and joined sheet and plate work.

Kestrel fabricates sheet and plate components, including cutting, bending and forming, hardware insertion, and joining, to customer drawings and flat patterns. From single brackets to multi-part weldments, each job is reviewed for bend radii, grain direction, hole-to-edge distances, and tolerance stack-up before we quote.

Where a design can be simplified for the press brake or the weld bench, our review flags it at quotation stage so you can decide before tooling time is committed. Tolerances follow the drawing; where a print is silent, we confirm the applicable standard with you rather than assume.

03 / Process

Assembly & Finishing

Sub-assemblies, hardware, and managed finishes.

Beyond individual parts, Kestrel delivers mechanical sub-assemblies, including fastening, hardware insertion, pinning, and fitting of the machined and fabricated components we produce, so a single purchase order covers more of your bill of materials. Assembly work is quoted against your bill of materials and assembly instructions.

Finishes such as anodizing, plating, powder coating, passivation, and heat treatment are managed to your specification as part of the quoted scope, so parts arrive ready for your line. Finish callouts, masking, and cosmetic requirements are reviewed at quotation, not discovered at delivery.
